Abstract |
The study aimed to assess the determinants of agricultural investment in Sudan by working through a standard model. The study problem was formulated in the following main question: What are the determinants of agricultural investment in Sudan? The study was built on the following hypotheses: the existence of an inverse relationship between commodity and food prices and agricultural investment, and the existence of a positive relationship between the exchange rate and agricultural investment. There is an inverse relationship between inflation and agricultural investment. The study used the descriptive analytical approach. The study concluded that the increase in food prices leads to a decrease in agricultural investment, that the improvement of the exchange rate leads to an increase in the rate of agricultural investment, and that the increase in the inflation rate leads to a decrease in agricultural investment. The study recommended a reduction in material prices Food by encouraging agricultural production, paying attention to agricultural investment and giving it priority by attracting regional and international institutions to invest in the agricultural field in Sudan, and setting production, marketing and manufacturing policies and plans aimed at encouraging and increasing the volume of agricultural investment. |
